Vacancy Collaborative
I regularly participate in 2 subgroups of the St. Louis Vacancy Collaborative. The goal of the group is to comprehensively address the terrible vacancy problems in St. Louis. We have met for months with interesting discussions and good presentations. Yet, I feel we are going nowhere and are no closer to addressing the problems. There seem to be different agendas regarding gentrification, building codes, historic preservation etc. Like many endeavors in St. Louis, there are lots of meetings with no results in sight.
