Low Income Housing Tax Credits
The State of Missouri has Re instituted state affordable housing tax credits. These credits had been suspended by the Greitens administration. These credits are an important source of funding for affordable housing and replacing them is good. The credits like with many things in Missouri is fraught with politics which override good housing policy. Affordable housing tax credits are the only construction game in town for affordable housing. They are inefficient and ineffective but do house lower income people.
